Privacy Policy
Your schedule is personal. Tendi treats it that way.
This Privacy Policy explains how The Harmonious Simulation LLC and Tom Harmon collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use Tendi on the web, Mac, iPhone, or related services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information created when you use Tendi, and limited technical information needed to operate the service.
- Account information: your email address, name, authentication details, profile settings, subscription status, and support communications.
- Product content: tasks, habits, lists, notes, scheduling preferences, planner settings, calendar connection settings, and the schedule blocks Tendi creates or proposes.
- Calendar information: when you connect a calendar, Tendi may access calendar metadata, availability, event times, event titles, calendar identifiers, and other details needed to read busy time, avoid conflicts, and create or update scheduled blocks.
- Device and usage information: app version, device type, browser type, operating system, IP address, log data, crash diagnostics, feature usage, and approximate region derived from technical signals.
- Payment information: payments may be handled by third-party payment processors or app stores. We receive transaction status and subscription metadata, not full payment card numbers.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to provide, maintain, protect, and improve Tendi, including to:
- create and manage your account;
- sync tasks, habits, preferences, and schedules across your devices;
- connect calendars, read availability, detect conflicts, and create calendar entries you approve;
- generate planner suggestions and schedule blocks based on your tasks, habits, preferences, and calendar availability;
- send service messages, security notices, support replies, and optional product or marketing communications;
- debug issues, prevent abuse, protect account security, and comply with legal obligations;
- analyze aggregate usage so we can improve reliability, performance, and product design.
3. AI Planner and Automated Scheduling
Tendi's AI Planner uses your tasks, habits, calendar availability, planner preferences, and related account settings to propose or create schedules. Calendar blocks are not meant to infer sensitive traits about you, and you should avoid adding sensitive personal information to task titles, notes, or calendar event fields unless you are comfortable storing that information in Tendi.
We do not sell your tasks, habits, calendar data, or schedule content. If we use third-party AI or infrastructure providers to process planner requests, we provide only the information needed for that request and require providers to process it on our behalf.
4. Calendar Connections
When you connect a calendar provider, you authorize Tendi to access the calendar data needed for scheduling features. Depending on the provider and permissions you grant, Tendi may read calendar events, determine busy or free time, and create, update, or remove Tendi-managed calendar entries.
You can disconnect calendar integrations from Tendi settings or through your calendar provider. Disconnecting may limit scheduling features and may not automatically remove calendar entries that were already created.
5. How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to operate Tendi, comply with the law, or protect users and the service.
- Service providers: hosting, storage, analytics, error monitoring, email delivery, customer support, payment processing, app distribution, calendar integration, and AI processing providers.
- Calendar providers: information needed to connect accounts and create or update calendar entries you request.
- Legal and safety: information may be disclosed if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, security, and service integrity.
- Business transfers: information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy or a successor policy.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Tendi uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, protect against cross-site request forgery, understand usage, and improve performance. You can adjust browser settings to block some technologies, but parts of Tendi may not work correctly without them.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide Tendi, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain backups, and protect the service. If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify account information within a reasonable period unless retention is required for legal, security, or operational reasons.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You can update account settings in the app, disconnect calendars, unsubscribe from optional marketing emails, and request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal information. Some rights vary by location. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong password and protect access to your devices and email account.
10. Children
Tendi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information to Tendi, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
11. International Use
Tendi is operated from the United States. If you use Tendi from another region, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where we or our service providers operate.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice by updating the effective date, posting a notice, sending an email, or using another reasonable method. Your continued use of Tendi after an updated policy becomes effective means you accept the updated policy.
